(1) According to sub-section (1) clause (b) of section 16 of the Act, if the registration certificate of a Nepalese vessel is lost, damaged or if there is any change in the details mentioned in such certificate, the master of that vessel ( (Chief Officer) should submit an application to the nearest Nepalese Embassy or Diplomatic Office, mentioning the reason.
(2) With the application given as per sub-rule (1), a deposit of fifty rupees or its equivalent in local currency shall be filed.
(3) The concerned consulate or diplomatic office shall issue a temporary certificate of nationality as per rule 14, if the conduct mentioned in the application given in accordance with sub-rule (1) is deemed reasonable.
